Here are the highlights of this week’s news in the telly-world… This week was an important one for Yeh Hai Mohabbatein fans as Raman and Ishita struggled to shower their love over Ruhi. Several new shows have been introduced to the viewers this week including Kawach… Kaali Shaktiyon Se, 24 Season 2 and Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai Pyaar. Meanwhile, Swaragini fans had some funny moments with Sanskar’s entry as rock star Kissan Sonarika Bhadoria lashed out at the hypocritical attitude towards women in India after being criticised for her bikini pictures. The launch of the show Kavach…Kaali Shaktiyon Se saw Vivek Dahiya, Mona Singh and Maheck Chahal recreating the fear for the supernatural through a skit. An unusual agreement was signed by actors Vatsal Seth and Ishita Dutta with the makers of the show Rishton Ka Saudagar – Baazigar wherein they agreed that they would not date during the term of their contracts for the show. Anil Kapoor along with Aamir Khan launched the second season of 24 with great fanfare at a venue in the suburbs. The two actors appreciated each other’s work immensely at the event. The dance reality show So You Think You Can Dance shot the episode with a costume round, and Madhuri Dixit-Nene stole the show with her Jessica Rabbit avatar. It was reported that comedian Upasana Singh has quit Comedy Nights Live. But shockingly, she has apparently been made to sign an agreement saying that she will not join The Kapil Sharma Show either. Ajaz Khan was booked by Versova police after model Aishwarya Choubey filed a complaint saying that he had been sending her lewd messages Ajaz, however, denied it and pleaded innocence in the case. In a shocking series of events, a TV actress featuring in Savdhaan India was caught in a sex racket. While the Udta Punjab controversy still brews, the film got a lot of support from the television industry, so much so that comedian Kapil Sharma, who belongs to Punjab actually suggested that the film showcases the sad reality of the state. The BARC ratings of Week 22 were announced and Star Plus topped the list of the most popular channels, closely followed by Colors TV. In the shows, Naagin, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Saath Nibhana Saathiya topped the list. Finally, the Boroplus Gold Awards were the highlight of the week. The awards saw the who’s who of the television industry marking their presence in their most chic avatars. Be it Mouni Roy, Anita Hasnandani, Nia Sharma or Sriti Jha, all the ladies just increased the rising heat with their uber-fashionable outfits. The men didn’t fall back in the race either as television hotties like Karan Singh Grover, Vivek Dahiya and Anuj Sachdeva scorched the red carpet. Telly Tracks In Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, the future episodes will see Ruhi being brought back to the Bhalla house after seven years, but she will still want revenge from Raman and Ishita for her suffering. Meanwhile, Raman and Ishita’s encounters will also lead to the couple remembering their lost love. But Ruhi will work hard to keep them apart as well as to stay away from the Bhalla family. So when Raman and Ishita will try to get Nidhi punished in court, Ruhi will insult them and refuse to go back to them. But the court will still give them 20 days to convince Ruhi. Swaragini will see Sanskar’s transformation from a prim lover to a notorious desi rockstar Kissan. While Swara will try to shelter him and train him in music thinking he’s an honest man, Kissan will be exposed at the Maheshwari house. After singing bhajans post the havan at the house, Swara will ask him to leave her alone. In Kumkum Bhagya, on Daadi’s insistence, Abhi will go all out to make Pragya’s birthday a truly special one by saying I Love You. But Tanu will plant the seed of suspicion in Abhi’s mind getting a fake boy friend of Pragya to send her flowers and messages. In spite of all this, Pragya’s glamourous avatar will make Abhi fall in love with her all over again. In Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, Dev will take Sona on a romantic drive and later finally decide to talk about his feelings to Sonakshi. The cast of Kawach… Kaali Shaktiyon Se has already shot ahead of time. The first episode which airs on June 11, will show Paridhi and Rajbir meeting and falling in love. They will then get engaged when Paridhi will start seeing Manjulika. However, she will be the only one seeing her presence. The future episodes will see Paridhi being scared beyond her wits as Manjulika will join her and complete all the marriage rituals with Rajbir without anyone noticing her. Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai Pyaar started airing this week. It is an impending love story between an under-confident rich boy and a street-smart girl with financial woes. The story of a boy and a girl coming from different strata of society is introduced along with a realistic picture of their family backgrounds respectively. The promo of the upcoming TV show Amma gave a glimpse into the life of a female underworld don. Urvashi Sharma will make her TV debut with this show based on Jenabai Daaruwali, the famed lady underworld don of the 1970s-80s. Celebration Time Baal Veer hit 1000 episodes and took twitter by storm as fans posted funny videos of world leaders applauding their success. Jamai Raja completed 500 episodes and Ravi Dubey shared his happiness with co-star Nia Sharma by taking a picture together and putting it up on Nia’s social networking account. Entries and Exits In Thapki, RJ Sidhu will play a cameo as a mean radio jockey named RJ Rahul who embarrasses Thapki and makes fun of her stammering. Kamya Punjabi has been roped in to play Vivian Dsena’s mother in Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani will see Eisha Singh as the new Rani on the show while Sarrtaj Gill has been already finalised as the new Raja.
